Picante is a hugely enjoyable Latin band fronted by Derek Nash (featured saxophonist with the Jools Holland R&B Orchestra and Sax Appeal) and Dominic Ashworth (British Jazz award-winning guitarist).Taking Latin flavours from Buena Vista Social Club, Sergio Mendes, Stan Getz/Astrid Gilberto, Spyrogyra and the Gypsy Kings, Picante’s music makes you feel like dancing from the first bar with their unique compositions in mambo, salsa, samba and bossa nova styles.
Music from their CD – Five Note Salsa - has already been heard on TV from Japanese Drama to Strictly Come Dancing to the David Letterman Show and their much-awaited second CD is due for release later in 2018.
