Archived Friday 13th April 2018 - LIFT TO THE SCAFFOLD - at The Alexander Centre

from 7:30
Lift to the Scaffold ( in French Ascenseur a l'Echafaud) is a classic fifties film noir directed by Louis Malle played out over one night in Paris. It will be shown in French with English subtitles.

It is particularly popular with music fans because it features a very 'cool' jazz sound track composed and performed by Miles Davis.

There will be a pre show bar from 7.30pm with the film starting at 8pm. General admission is £7 and admission for Town Twinning Association and Film Society members is £5. There will also be a discount for people who attend Jazz events at the Alexander Centre.
