CHRIS POWELL TO BRING CHRISTMAS TO THE KEYS AT FAVERSHAM!
Now in his mid 40's, Powell started his career with a five-year connection playing to the dancers and holiday makers at the world famous Blackpool Tower. Since then, his talents have taken him all over the world with appearances in Holland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the USA and in May this year he undertook his 9th concert tour of Australia and 17th of New Zealand. He has made countless radio and tv appearances including with Keith Chegwin on the 'Big Breakfast' and also provided the live music in the 'South Bank Show' profiling Thora Hird.
Playing the state-of-the-art Roland Atelier instrument, the label 'organ' is perhaps a very loose one as Powell is able to recreate accurate sounds of pianos, guitars, symphony orchestras, human voices and of course the traditional organ with two hands and two feet!
His programme will include the likes of music from James Last, Andre Rieue and Glen Miller along with seasonal favourites from the likes of Shakin' Stevens and The Pogues together with the likes of Sleigh Ride, O Holy Night and popular songs and carols for the season!
Music for all tastes and definitely a night to bring on the Christmas spirit!
