HEADER IMAGE

An explanation of the header image.

The image above is of a higher resolution than that used as the header. Clicking on the image will enlarge it and give a better view.

First - PiF has not knowingly intended to breach any copyright rules. However, if any person feels aggrieved that their image has been included in the composition please email PiF and their image will be removed.

Choice of Images - The composition is intended to portray the broad range of live music available in and around Faversham . . . .  Rock   Jazz   Classical   Folk   Choral  etc.
The aim was to try and include images of musicians, artists and representatives of bands that are largely Faversham based or play regularly in and around Faversham.
However, there are some notable people that are not represented in the composition. There are 2 reasons for this:
1 PiF has forgotten to include them!
2 There was no image available or accessible for PiF to use.
Apologies to those that have been excluded and if anyone feels strongly that they should be included, please email PiF a suitable image and we will try and fit you in!

The Sgt Pepper-style drum - As most people should recognise the drum at the centre of the composition is a direct reference to The Beatles Sgt Pepper album cover. This reference has been used not to try and mimic that album cover but to signify that the images of people used have enormous differences in the quality of image (in terms of resolution), the lighting and the colour hue - just like the album cover.

Legs! - Finding images was difficult enough but finding images of complete people was often impossible! The most common problem was that people's legs were not in the source picture, therefore, PiF has attempted to manufacture new legs for these people with mixed results! Where legs were available, feet and shoes were often not, hence the use of speaker monitors to disguise this loss! Other parts of bodies were obscured in the original source images and again PiF has tried to replace these missing parts. So - apologies to those people who might look a bit odd in the composition.

Finally - The inclusion of a stoat, wooden duck, banana plant and a dog character all have a vague significance only known to the author! Speaking of which, the author is included in the composition as a sort of  . . . 'Where's Wally'!!

I don't think you managed to nick any of my pictures. Why Not?

Well done and all the best for 2013 DP The Market Inn

Thanks David - Good point! I should have looked at the pictures on your website! At the time of constructing the composition the complexity meant that reasoning and logic were in short supply.
Happy New Year to you and hope to see you soon.
Cheers!
