Music . . . There are many pubs and venues that stage regular live music . . .

The Market Inn: live bands every Friday evening and Sunday afternoon
The Anchor: live music every Sunday at 6.30
The Sun Inn: live music most Friday evenings
The Chimney Boy: live music most weekends either on a Friday or Saturday
The Vaults: live music every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month
The Railway hosts the Faversham Blues Club on the last Wednesday of every month.
The Bull hosts the 'Irish Session' on the 3rd Sunday of every month
BinElla: a wine and champagne bar on Standard Quay has regular jazz and blues nights

Faversham Folk Club meets every Wednesday at the Chimney Boy and has a full programme of visiting artists as well as singers nights.
Saturday Morning Classical: every Saturday morning there is a free concert of classical music at The Assembly Rooms with some very talented visiting musicians.
St Mary of Charity Church hosts a variety of music events including organ recitals.

The Alexander Centre is a large venue in Preston Street that holds a variety of events including music.
The Old Brewery Store is part of the Shepherd Neame brewery complex with a capacity of 400, it stages regular music events.

Surrounding villages: there are numerous pubs in the beautiful villages surrounding Faversham that stage live music.

Faversham Music Club, Faversham Choral Society, Faversham Mission Brass Band, Ukulele Clubs are a few of the local clubs and societies that promote music in the town.

Annual festivals such as Fav-Va-Voom and The Nautical Festival feature live music.

Theatre and Comedy
The Arden Theatre has productions by The Arden Theatre Group and other companies. The theatre also regularly hosts Phil Zimmerman's No5 Comedy Club 


Food & Coffee
Faversham has a thriving and growing cafe scene. There are numerous coffee shops, many with outside seating giving the town a continental flavour.
Restaurants include Indian, Chinese, Italian, Turkish Tapas and English. Most of the pubs serve food, some have separate restaurants.

Shopping
Faversham has survived the plight of many similar sized towns in that it has a good range of shops. These include excellent bakers, butchers and the well known Macknade Food Store. Plus more specialist shops such as The Hat Shop and The Model Shop. There are also many antique/vintage/retro shops in the town.

Faversham Market, the street market takes place every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday in the Market Place and Court street. On many Saturdays the market extends along Preston Street with the 'Best of Faversham' market specialising in local produce and crafts.

Faversham Antiques & Vintage Market takes place on the first Sunday of every month in the Market Place and Court Street

The market also holds special events.

History
The town has a rich history which is protected and nurtured by The Faversham Society, their shop and museum in Preston Street contains a wealth of information for visitors to the town.

The Creek
The town's ancient and historical waterway once provided the lifeblood of the town. A stroll along it now will reveal some of its history.

The Brewery
Faversham's famous Shepherd Neame brewery holds brewery tours and other special events. Enquire at their visitor centre.
