The Bear Inn
FAVERSHAM HOP FESTIVAL 2014
A Sheps pub in the Market Place next to the Guildhall in the centre of the town. This is a beautiful traditional pub, recently refurbished, right in the heart of town and right in the heart of the Hop Festival.
The Bear is situated right in the thick of the Hop Fest action - next to The Market Place Stage and a short distance from the Shepherd Neame Stage - there would be little point in them putting on their own music on Saturday or Sunday. BUT - they do have music on Friday evening!
Playing From 8pm
Story songs to make you laugh, cry and think...via acoustically driven Celtic Gospel, and occasionally Blues
Sue - Singing and Blowing and Wrong Notes
Jim - Strumming and Shouting
Dave 'Lambo' - Banging and Thumping - don't ask - better not to, really.
Stephen - He plays a box! No, actually - he really does play a BOX (and some other very cool things)
Having recently made his home in Faversham Singer songwriter Mark Lees' songs demonstrate a sometimes wry but positive perspective with the occasional cover with a twist thrown in. Influences include John Martyn, Stephen Kellogg, Squeeze and Neil Finn so expect mix of folk, americana, and groove blues with a dash of pop chucked in for good measure!!.....
