Archived Saturday 27th May 2017 - THE LEWIS CHESSMEN supported by SWALE RIDER - at The Bull Inn

A two piece folk-rock acoustic group from Faversham, Kent

Henry Vinson &  Richard Moores
PiF: This highly original duo are well worth seeing!

supported by:

Swale Rider has nothing to do with Clint Eastwood, ponchos, cigarettes or cowboy hats. Indeed, most of the band have never been near a horse. Instead, it is a folk/rock combo formed by Mike Richardson and Piers McGinn in Bronx area of Faversham in November 2015. We play mainly covers comprising well-known songs from a better, vanished time. Sometimes we wear shorts on stage, sometimes flip-flops. Big toes are a speciality. Steve Rarraty sings, Richard Moores roars and Clive munns taps the tom-toms. We play folk, prog, sometimes mixed with poke and frog. Once you've seen us you'll leave with a smile on your face, but I guess that's schadenfreude for you.

music starts from 7.30
