"Glamweazel were born out of the ashes of seminal 80’s cult band One the Juggler, following a successful 25th reunion gig in 2009.

Jerry T Jones (vcls/guitar) and Colin Minchin (guitar) realised that their collective musical juices were still flowing, and started working together initially as a studio project.

The first album, Mask Parade was released on their own Real Vision Records in 2010 to critical acclaim, but the temptation of treading the boards again was the driving motivation behind Glamweazel‘s second release, Apocalypstick, which was recorded live in the studio and inspired by the “cosmic mirror ball” of the early 70’s, perfectly captured in their single Thursday Night 1972.

Gigs and festivals followed in the summer of 2012 to great response, and the band went back into the studio in to record Illusion, Lies and Butterflies, from which the single Fleeting Moment was released.

Glamweazel returned to the studio with an exciting new line up in 2013, and with Paul Byfield on bass and Dave Lowe on drums are releasing their fourth album Commuterville in May 2013."

PiF: Listened to some of the tracks on the soon to be released new album 'Art Of The Meltdown' and was surprised by just how good they are!
Clever, wistful songwriting and sung in a style that reminds me of Robyn Hitchcock (that's a compliment!) - particularly like the guitar. I never usually attempt to write reviews of bands, but on this occasion - I just have to!
Their recent album Commuterville is on Spotify.
