"Pianist Samson Tsoy's playing has been described as " the most promissing" by BBC Music Magazine. In 2012, he was recognized as a Laureate of the Santander International Piano Competition and attracted the attention of legendary pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja. Also his performances have been praised by the highly acclaimed Russian composer, Rodion Shchedrin and famed violinist Ivry Gitlis. He has been recognized at more than 20 international piano competitions.

Samson has participated in numerous festivals including the Switzerland's Verbier, Spain's Santander, Italy's Casalmaggiore, Canada's Banff and Russia's Mstislav Rostropovich and Rodion Shchedrin Jubilee Festivals. Venues where he has performed include the Konzerthaus in Berlin; Salle Gaveau in Paris; Wigmore Hall in London; The Great Halls of the Moscow Conservatory and the St. Petersburg Philharmonia and the Auditorium di Milano.

He has received awards and scholarships from the Goverment of the Russian Federation, the Hattori Foundation, the Philharmonia Orchestra Martin"
