Archived Friday 6th February 2015 - NEW OLD WORLD - at The Chimney Boy

9pm
Folk Rock band from Kent, playing a selection of original and cover songs with an acoustic vibe and some blues and country influences. Originally founded by Alex Williams, excluding him, the oldest existing member of the group is Noah Haines. The band so far are recording an EP and CD and can be seen busking locally and playing frequent paid pub gigs, festivals and radio shows across The South of England. The band has performed to a couple of thousand people in Rochester Castle Gardens as part of a large concert also, on a Glastonbury stage. New Old World currently consists of Alex Williams as band leader on lead vocals, harmonica and rhythm guitar primarily, Noah Haines on Drums and Cajon, Abeeran Ranjan on keyboards and violin, Anthony Greenwell on bass and backing vocals and Miles Eason on lead and slide guitar as well as mandolin. Future aims of the band include pursuing further recognition and hopefully their two tours in 2014 and 2015 as well as their frequent appearances around Kent in large festivals and gigs and will mean you hearing more of the band in the near future!
