The Weekenders were formed in the summer of 2010, and began playing gigs in the Spring of 2011. We are a covers band with a difference, playing contemporary music alongside classic tunes.
We aim to keep our set as fresh as possible, playing music that you've heard on the radio in the last ten years. People are surprised and delighted to hear that we cover songs from modern bands such as The Killers, Vampire Weekend, Plan B, Lily Allen and the Noisettes as well as legends like Tom Petty and Jimi Hendrix. The music we play is energetic and our gigs have everyone dancing.
